& Regulations

All trading rules · Prohibited activities · Payout rules · Full T&Cs · Last update · July 2026

PERMITTED

Explicitly allowed activities

(e.g. using Expert Advisors (EAs), hedging between your own accounts, holding positions over weekends, using a VPN with prior notice).

DEDUCTION

Account remains active; profits are deducted at payout

(e.g. trades held for less than 3 minutes, funded account trades executed during restricted news windows).

HARD BREACH

Immediate permanent account closure

(e.g. daily loss limit breach, maximum drawdown breach, HFT, cross-firm hedging, copy trading between different traders, account sharing).

What’s permitted

Drawdown Rules

1.1 Daily Loss Limit

Daily Loss Monitor

Resets · 00:00
Previous Day’s
Highest Equity
$108,000
Daily Loss Limit5% -$5,400
Today’s Equity Floor $102,600

$108,000 - $5,400 = $102,600

The daily loss limit is calculated from the previous day’s highest equity or balance, whichever is higher. It resets daily at Midnight UTC. Breaching the daily loss limit at any point is an immediate hard breach regardless of overall account performance.

Example: Monday high equity is $108,000. Daily loss limit of 5% = $5,400. On Tuesday the account must not fall below $102,600. Resets at Midnight UTC.

HARD BREACH

Exceeding the daily loss limit results in immediate permanent account closure regardless of overall performance.

1.2 Maximum Drawdown

Static Never moves
  • Two Step & Pro
  • One Step & Pro
Intraday Trailing Locks at breakeven
  • Instant Funded
EOD Trailing Never decreases
  • Instant Zero

The maximum drawdown is the absolute floor the account balance can reach before triggering a permanent hard breach. Applies at all times across evaluation and funded stages.

  • Static drawdown, fixed from the account starting balance. Never moves. Applies to Two Step, Two Step Pro, One Step and One Step Pro.
  • Trailing drawdown (intraday), trails the highest balance at any point intraday. Locks at breakeven once a defined profit level is reached. Applies to Instant Funded.
  • EOD trailing drawdown, updates only at the end of each trading day. The floor never drops on a losing day. Applies to Instant Zero.

HARD BREACH

Breaching the maximum drawdown floor results in immediate permanent account closure.

One-Sided Risk Exposure (Funded Accounts Only)

One-Sided Risk 50%
Daily Loss Limit 5%
Maximum risk
per instrument
2.5%

Risk on any single instrument, across one or multiple trades, may not exceed 50% of the account’s daily drawdown limit. Applies to funded accounts only. Does not apply during evaluation.

Measured on all of the following:

  • Stop loss placement at entry
  • Unrealised drawdown during an open trade
  • Realised losses

Example: A Two Step funded account has a 5% daily loss limit. The maximum risk on XAUUSD in a single day is 2.5% of the account balance, regardless of whether that is one trade or multiple trades on the same instrument.

HARD BREACH

Exceeding per-asset risk on a funded account results in immediate account closure and forfeiture of all profits.

Floating Loss Rules

Trigger 1 Positions auto-closed
(50% on Instant Zero / all on other types)
Account stays live Split drops to 50% for the cycle
where applicable
Protection Continue trading within new limit
Trigger 2 same day Permanent Breach
68% of breaches stem from
daily drawdown violations
The Protector exists
to reduce this

3.1 Instant Funded. Hard Floating Loss

A maximum floating loss threshold applies at all times on Instant Funded accounts. If the combined floating loss on all open positions reaches the threshold at any point, the account is immediately breached and permanently closed.

HARD BREACH

Floating loss reaching the threshold on Instant Funded results in immediate account closure.

3.2 Instant Zero. Atlas Protector

Instant Zero uses the Atlas Protector in place of a hard floating loss breach. The Atlas Protector is a real-time risk-management mechanism that intervenes before losses spiral out of control. Active on funded accounts only, does not apply during evaluation.

How it works:

  • 1st trigger, if floating loss reaches the defined threshold, 50% of open positions are automatically closed across all instruments. The account remains active and you can re-enter the market immediately. Your profit split for that payout cycle is reduced to 50%.
  • 2nd trigger on the same day, the account is permanently breached and access is revoked.

PERMITTED

The Atlas Protector gives traders a second chance within the same session. Internal data shows 68% of account breaches stem from daily drawdown violations, the Atlas Protector is designed to reduce this.

3.3 Atlas Protector. One Step / Two Step / Two Step Pro

The Atlas Protector also applies to funded accounts on One Step, Two Step and Two Step Pro challenges.

  • 1st trigger, all open positions are automatically closed across all instruments. You can re-enter the market immediately.
  • 2nd trigger on the same day, the account is permanently breached and access is revoked.

The Atlas Protector does not apply during evaluation phases on any challenge type.

Minimum Hold Time

All trades must be held for a minimum of 3 minutes. Profits generated on trades closed in under 3 minutes are subject to deduction at the point of the payout request.

  • The account is not failed for a short trade, the deduction is applied to the payout amount only
  • Applies to all account types at all stages, evaluation and funded
  • Repeated sub-3-minute trades used to meet minimum trading days, hit targets quickly or gain large profits from brief moves are prohibited

DEDUCTION

Profits from trades under 2 minutes are deducted at payout. Account remains active.

High-Frequency Trading & Tick Scalping

High-frequency trading, tick scalping, latency arbitrage and any strategy that exploits micro price movements or broker pricing delays are strictly prohibited on all account types at all stages.

  • Rapid-fire entries and exits to take advantage of micro price movements (tick scalping), prohibited
  • Latency arbitrage, exploiting delays in broker price feeds, prohibited
  • Strategies where short-duration trades are the primary method, prohibited
  • Any activity that overloads broker servers or disrupts execution speed, prohibited

HARD BREACH

HFT, tick scalping and latency exploitation result in immediate account closure and forfeiture of all profits.

News Trading

Atlas Funded does not restrict news trading during evaluations. Funded accounts have an additional rule applied at payout.

6.1 Evaluation Accounts. Fully Permitted

News trading is fully permitted during all evaluation phases. Trades can be placed before, during and after any scheduled economic announcement with no restrictions and no deductions. Trades held overnight, across weekends and through news events are all permitted.

6.2 Funded Accounts, 5-Minute Window Rule

On funded accounts, profits from trades opened or closed within 5 minutes before or after a high-impact (red folder) news event, as classified on Forex Factory or equivalent economic calendars, are subject to deduction at payout.

  • The account is not breached for news trading, it is a deduction only
  • Trades already open and held through the news event are not impacted, only new entries within the 5-minute window are subject to review
  • This policy applies to trades taken on or after September 4th, 2025. Trades before this date are not subject to review

DEDUCTION

Profits from trades within the 5-minute news window on funded accounts are deducted at payout. Account remains active.

Hedging

7.1 Hedging Between Own Atlas Accounts

Hedging between your own Atlas Funded accounts is permitted. Each account must remain within its own drawdown limits at all times.

7.2 Cross-Account Hedging

Using two or more Atlas Funded accounts to place opposing positions on the same instrument in order to create a guaranteed risk-free outcome is prohibited.

HARD BREACH

Cross-account hedging to create risk-free exposure results in all associated accounts being closed and all profits forfeited.

7.3 Cross-Firm Hedging

Placing opposing positions between an Atlas Funded account and any external broker or prop firm to create risk-free exposure or arbitrage is strictly prohibited. This is detectable via platform-level device and trade matching.

HARD BREACH

Cross-firm hedging results in closure of all associated accounts and forfeiture of all profits.

Copy Trading

  • Copying trades between your own Atlas Funded accounts, permitted
  • Copying trades from other traders, prohibited
  • Allowing others to copy from you, prohibited
  • Copying between Atlas accounts and any external trading accounts, prohibited
  • Trade activity that matches another trader’s may be treated as a breach, prohibited

HARD BREACH

Copy trading between different traders results in all accounts being closed and all profits forfeited.

Reverse Trading

Deliberately opening opposing positions on the same instrument within the same account to manufacture profits or lock in a guaranteed outcome is strictly prohibited. All trading activity must reflect genuine market participation based on legitimate analysis.

HARD BREACH

Reverse trading results in immediate account closure and forfeiture of all profits.

Gambling / All-or-Nothing Strategies

Atlas Funded strictly prohibits trading strategies classified as gambling-style or all-or-nothing. This rule is reviewed manually by the compliance team prior to payout processing, it is not enforced automatically.

Activities classified as all-or-nothing trading include:

  • Using more than 80% of available account balance on a single trade
  • Placing trades that risk breaching the maximum drawdown in a single move
  • Positioning with no stop loss combined with excessive position size
  • Unhedged double-or-nothing trades especially near drawdown thresholds
  • Holding oversized positions through high-impact news events with no risk control
  • Strategies with extreme stop/target imbalances with no legitimate technical basis
  • Relying on hope-based holds or binary outcome strategies by design

Consequences if identified:

  • Profit withheld or reduced
  • Account breach or termination
  • Loss of add-on privileges (payout upgrades, scaling opportunities)
  • Disqualification from promotional or bonus campaigns

Case-by-case review is available. Traders may contact support to explain the reasoning behind flagged trades. Evidence of risk control and a legitimate strategy will be considered.

HARD BREACH

All-or-nothing strategies result in account closure and forfeiture of all profits.

Account Sharing & Third Party Services

  • Sharing login credentials with any third party
  • Allowing another person or service to trade on your behalf
  • Using account passing services to complete an evaluation
  • Trading from geographically inconsistent locations without prior notice or approval
  • Multiple logins from significantly different locations without explanation

HARD BREACH

Account sharing results in immediate permanent closure of all accounts and a permanent platform ban.

Weekend & Overnight Trading

  • Holding open positions over the weekend (Friday close to Monday open), permitted on all account types
  • Holding positions overnight, permitted on all account types at all stages
  • Opening new positions on Saturday or Sunday, not permitted unless explicitly stated for a specific instrument

Expert Advisors (EAs)

EAs are permitted on all account types at all stages. No approval required. The trader is fully responsible for ensuring their EA operates within all account rules. Automation does not exempt a trader from rule compliance. Atlas Funded takes no responsibility for losses caused by automated systems.

PERMITTED

EAs are fully allowed. No approval needed. Rules still apply.

VPN

VPN use is permitted. Traders must notify Atlas Funded in advance if trading from a location that may appear geographically inconsistent with their registered location. Trading from inconsistent locations without prior notice may trigger a compliance review.

PERMITTED WITH NOTICE

VPN is allowed but Atlas Funded must be informed in advance of any location inconsistency.

Inactivity Rule

At least one trade must be placed within any 30-day window on all accounts at all stages. Accounts with no trading activity for 30 consecutive days may be closed. There are no time limits on evaluations, traders may take as long as they need provided the inactivity rule is not triggered.

Consistency Rule

One Step Funded 23% 25% Limit
Instant Funded 14% 20% Limit None on other types
It blocks the payout Resets after every approved payout. Account remains active. This rule does not breach the account.

The consistency rule limits how much of the total profit in a payout cycle can come from a single trading day. If the best day exceeds the applicable threshold the payout is blocked, the account is not breached. The rule resets after every approved payout.

  • One Step funded, 25% rule applies. No single day may account for more than 25% of total payout cycle profit.
  • Instant Funded funded, 20% rule applies. No single day may account for more than 20% of total payout cycle profit.
  • Two Step, Two Step Pro, One Step Pro, Instant Zero, no consistency rule.

Example. One Step funded (25% rule): Total cycle profit = $2,000. Best single day = $600 (30%). Exceeds the 25% limit. Payout is blocked until the ratio improves. Account remains active and trading continues.

Not a breach, the consistency rule blocks a payout request until the ratio improves. The account stays open.

Minimum Trading Days

A qualifying trading day requires the minimum daily gain threshold to be met based on the account type. Days that do not meet the threshold do not count toward the minimum requirement.

  • Two Step / Two Step Pro, 0.5% minimum gain per qualifying day
  • One Step / One Step Pro, 1% minimum gain per qualifying day
  • Instant Funded / Instant Zero, 5 qualifying days required before each payout request, minimum 1% gain per day

A profitable day is defined as a day with net closed trades in profit, open positions do not count.

19.2 Chargeback Policy

Atlas Funded maintains a strict no-chargeback policy. Any trader who initiates a chargeback will have their account immediately suspended and the chargeback contested. Atlas Funded reserves the right to pursue legal action to recover funds, damages and legal fees.

Account Resets

Account Resets allow traders to resume their challenge from the phase they breached on. Phases already passed are preserved. A reset is not a full restart.

  • Purchase window, available at any time, not just after a breach. Traders can reset early if they choose.
  • Expiry, once breached, the trader has 14 calendar days to purchase a reset. After 14 days it expires permanently.
  • Limit, one reset per phase per challenge.
  • Account settings, same account size, same starting balance, same rules as the original purchase.
  • Discounts, no discount codes apply to reset products unless specifically opted in.
  • Instant Zero, resets do not apply to Instant Zero accounts.

Reset pricing is calculated as a percentage of what the trader actually paid for their original challenge, including any discount at time of purchase. Full pricing breakdown is in the Challenge Configuration document.
